For those of you who have signed up for this IRIG 106 mailing list, you've probably noticed that there isn't a lot of traffic. For most of us that's probably a good thing. But I wanted to let everyone know that things are still percolating along. =20 Even though I haven't posted any software updates in a while, that doesn't mean there hasn't been any progress. I've been working on a C++ class library "wrapper". The main purpose for this wrapper is to be able to support Microsoft .NET 2005. I won't go into all the details, but the .NET environment is quite a bit than other software environments. The wrapper is being written in C++ but should allow using the library from any of the .NET languages such as C#. I still want to maintain the core library code as portable "vanilla" C. =20 I was recently contacted by Laurent Siquier, who also has an IRIG 106 software library. He has provided it to me for posting in the software library. I've been a little too busy to post it, but when I do it will provide another option for people looking for IRIG 106 software. Thanx Laurent! =20 Next week is the semi-annual RCC meeting. There are a number of topics we'll discuss but in general using a Ch 10 recorder in a network environment will probably dominate. Network time synchronization, remote control, and remote data access are major items for discussion. =20 Regards, =20 Bob =20 -- Bob Baggerman ! bob...@ga...=20 Electronic Systems Laboratory ! 404-407-7109 (office) Georgia Tech Research Institute ! 404-407-9109 (FAX) Atlanta, GA 30332 USA !
