I noticed that the via-ircc module is unable to share its IRQ on linux 2.6.11. I don't use this for anything (haven't even got a dongle attached) but I ran irattach just for fun and it was unable to claim an irq. Is there a reason for this or should it be able to share ? In via_ircc_net_open it does: request_irq(self->io.irq, via_ircc_interrupt, 0, dev->name, dev)) Is there a reason why it doesn't something like: request_irq(self->io.irq, via_ircc_interrupt, SA_SHIRQ, dev->name, dev)) The latter makes it possible to run irattach without any obvious failure, but as I said I don't even have an IR dongle attached to my motherboard so I'm not in a position to test this properly. Just wondering. |
