Thomas, Providing the acpi kernel parameters did the trick. I have appended "acpi_irq_balance" and "acp_irq_pci=11" to kernel line in my grug.conf file. After this, i have re-booted the machine, loaded the IrDA stack then i could successfully sync my palm with jpilot over IR port. Thanks a lot for you input. However, now my /proc/interrupts file looks different and i hope i have not broken anything else. Thanks again Srikanth ------------- New /proc/interrupts --------- CPU0 0: 76563 XT-PIC timer 1: 916 XT-PIC keyboard 2: 0 XT-PIC cascade 3: 534656 XT-PIC serial 8: 1 XT-PIC rtc 9: 64 XT-PIC acpi 10: 46032 XT-PIC nvidia 11: 34801 XT-PIC Toshiba America Info Systems ToPIC95 PCI to Cardbus Bridge with ZV Support, usb-uhci, usb-uhci, ehci_hcd, ohci1394, ndiswrapper, Intel ICH4 12: 21 XT-PIC PS/2 Mouse 14: 11712 XT-PIC ide0 15: 1391 XT-PIC ide1 NMI: 0 LOC: 76526 ERR: 0 MIS: 0 -End /proc/interrups ------------------------------- --- Thomas Pinz <tho...@gm...> wrote: > Hi Srikanth > > > Thanks for the response.
