I was successfully using IRDA to sync my palm pilot with the 2.2 version of the linux kernel. I upgraded to 2.4.1 today, but it seems that IR stopped working. I left my modules.conf file the same with all the aliases irda in place, and it looks like all the modules are compiled and present. They do autoload when I try to access ircomm0, but the machine can't see the device. When I reboot with the 2.2.16 kernel from RH 7.0, everything works fine. Does anybody know what's different about 2.4?

How did you get IRDA to work in 2.2? Could you please forward me any info. on the configurations, settings, etc. I am using a PalmVx.
