I have an HP Pavilion dv1000 with an ipw2200 card in it that I'm trying to get wireless to work in. The problem I'm having is that the HW rf kill switch isn't working. When I press the button, dmesg shows: atkbd.c: Unknown key released (translated set 2, code 0xf8 on isa0060/serio0). atkbd.c: Use 'setkeycodes e078 <keycode>' to make it known When I load the ipw2200 modules, it says the Radio Frequency Kill Switch is On. I can't find a way to turn off the kill switch (and thereby enabling the radio). What I notice is that when I have it on in Windows, and then reboot into Linux, it works (/sys/bus/pci/drivers/ipw2200/*/rf_kill is 0). When it's off, it has 2. Now, from the README, this makes perfect sense. However, I don't want to boot into Windows just to turn on the wireless (sometimes I forget to turn it back on before shutting down). Any ideas as to how I can toggle the hardware rf kill switch when I'm in Linux? Thanks, Nathan __________________________________ Do you Yahoo!? Yahoo!
