You remember how I seemed to be incessantly complaining about money affairs and just how I was going to pay the bills? Remember how I was always complaining about financial circumstances and just how I would pay the bills? I'm surprised at just how much I've learned in such a tiny period of time. Hello there. I am new to iptablelog. Today I installed it (version 0.9), created the database, the user, set its password in mysql, ok. I can connect to the mysql server using the iptablelog user, no problem. I even installed/created the tables using the mysql script (iptables.mysql) But then, when I try to access "http://localhost/iptablelog" I get this: http://pastebin.com/ZEyYNYjz What am I forgetting to setup? You should be aware that this project is not being actively developed. You should include some information on what version you are using. If you are using the newer version, you need to make sure that you have the ulogd running. This daemon populates the database and without it, there are no reports. I was writing to check the status of this project. I recently dug up my files and reinstalled iptables log analyzer. It seems as though I wasn't thorough with my backup and will have to thrash around with the code to revive the customizations I once had. The last time I did anything with this project was 2004 when I suggested the use of memoize for DNS lookups. I am definitely not a coding guru but I am willing to contribute what I can if this project is still alive or if people want to revive it. I haven't looked at Daniel Tarbuck's 0.9 release yet but the idea seems like a good move. Hoping for people to chime in on the status or interest in the future of this project. Stephen Dailey |

You will need to modify your ulogd.conf file to save the data to your =20
mysql db. There is an example ulogd.conf in the conf directory.
You'll need to uncomment this line in your ulogd.conf file:
plugin /usr/lib/ulogd/ulogd_MYSQL.so
You'll also need to set the mysql parameters (table/user/pass/db/host).
You're almost there.
