See http://internetpolyglot.org/forums/index.php/topic,103.0.html - a user requested that in addition to Right and Wrong on the lesson list to have averages. We can do something like this:

Right: 1234.0 (Avg. 34.3) • Wrong: 9.0 (Avg. 0.05)

When you login and go to My Lessons it gives NullPointerException (user ttest/ttest on stagepolyglot.com:8080/ipolyglot). See attachment npe.JPG.

    Correction. File name is npe.PNG

Another correction. The NullPointerException was for user tomcat, for user ttest it shows OK. I guess this is before user tomcat has empty lesson(s).

I guess this is BECAUSE user tomcat has empty lesson(s).

I have a comment on the calculation (and showing) of the avg. score for a lesson: Currently, it shows something like, Right: 7 (Avg.0.13). I (as a general user/language learner) am not very good at math and the number 0.13 does not have a clear meaning for me. So I would need some sort of text explaining this to me.

On the other hand, if it was something like 'Avg. 13%' , it would suggest that 13% of my tries were right. OR, it can suggest that I guessed 7 words right which is 13% of the total words in lesson. Clearly, that's not the correct info.

So, while delm13 would be happy with this number, I am not sure all other users would understand it easily. Let's see if we hear from someone else about this avg. score.

Maybe in the next version, we can show it in more easily comprehensible way or show some info text for this number on mouse-over.

This is incorrect meaning. "Avg. 0.13" means that an average word was guessed right 0.13 times. This is what was meant. And I agree that it's totally confusing.

Sultan brought up an important issue. If even such an advanced user as Sultan is confused what this Avg means, then those who are beginners will be totally dazzled.

Askhat, comment out these changes (i.e. don't show averages on lesson list). I want this patch release to happen and after that we'll be able to discuss on whether to put the averages back or not.

(I am moving the item to the next version. Later you can put it back to the current version.)

    Agree – it gives confusion.

Would you like to share your thoughts with delm13 on the forum? May be he could give another way.

I posted a reply to delm13's post on the forum, showing the same concerns and questions. Let's see if he replies to it.
