I think that the essential thing that is missing on
the iPod is the ability to play MIDI files, and also
the Amiga files like .MOD, .S3M and so on...

    Can you point to some software that runs under linux that

    i completely agree, i want to play .mod, s3m, .it, .xm and
    the likes :)
    i think totem and xmms does, i'm not sure about that,
    currently not on linux so i'm not up-to-date with that.
