I would like to have the ability to tell ipodder
whether to download all enclosures or just the newest
one when adding a new podcast to the list. There are
several feeds I've added that I want previous episodes
of, but have to manually parse the xml file and
hand-download those episodes myself.

More or less we're talking about the catch-up function.

Downloading old episodes (if they're still listed in the rss
file) is added in version 2.0.
