Apple Mac OS X convention appears to have user specific
application data under the user's Library folder,
sometimes under a sub-directory such as "Application
Support." Mac users of iPodder shouldn't be required
to have the iPodder Data folder at the top of their
home directory (/Users/joe_user). When iPodder starts
up it will create the iPodder Data folder there
automatically and without any configuration to change
the location.

well the right location would be
"/Users/joe_user/Library/Application Support"
though my personal preference wouldnt be this as it would make the
~Library directory quite heavy although Azureus writes also its files on
default there .. id rather suggest ~/Music as default .. though in any way it
should be user changable
