Joseph, I am not familiar with any issues in the area of high IOPS with Iometer or Windows. Is there any debug info you can send me? Or can you debug the process and get me the offending line in the code? I have more recent test builds I can point you to if you are interested. I have a configuration where I am running small block random IO stress against 24 SSDs. I am finding Iometer regularly crashes or hangs during testing of this configuration. I have previously found Iometer to be very stable when using rotational HDDs, so I wonder if these problems are related to the high performance of this configuration (approaching 1M IOPS for some workloads), or perhaps OS changes in Server 2008 R2 are causing problems. Has anyone else encountered similar problems, and if so, do you have any tips for avoiding these failures? Is there any newer Iometer build since 2008 RC2 that I might try? Thanks, Joe |
