#1 Problem with conversion of entitiy references (<)

Entering text in an input field (input type="text" or
textarea) that contains for example < or > works
only the first time. When you open the page for editing
the second time the < or > have been converted to
< or > respectively which (if saved) in turn leads to the
browser not rendering the page as it should.
