This site will not be monitored anymore. The project has been moved to http://chickenscratch.sourceforge.net. It is now part of the, larger, Chicken Scratch Software Common Controls project.

This project is being moved to be included with the Chicken Scratch Software common controls project. It is located here on Sourceforge at http://chickenscratch.sourceforge.net.

This control will not release on its own as previously planned. Instead, it will release as part of the Chicken Scratch Software common controls.

The Chicken Scratch Software Menu Control is scheduled for release on July 9th. At that time it will become part of a larger project called "Chicken Scratch Software Common Controls" which could be found at http://chickenscratch.sourceforge.net.

To help motivate people to submit bug reports I will be giving away 5 baseball caps embroidered with the Chicken Scratch Software logo and sloagan, "...because typing is for sissies" for the people who submit the 5 best bugs. I realize that "best" is a subjective term, but that's my problem. The logo is currently being designed so the hats will be sent when it's completed. We're starting to get some good download volumes but we're not seeing any bug reports. If you have a problem with the control PLEASE report it (http://sourceforge.net/tracker/?group_id=111469&atid=659289). If we don't know about a problem then we can't fix it.

The beta for the control is complet and on the release server (https://sourceforge.net/project/showfiles.php?group_id=111469). Pound on it and let's see how well this puppy does.

The alpha code worked extremely well and the issues with it were resolved quickly. The code has become stable to the point that I am unable to break it with my own testing. Therefore, I expect to release a fully-functional beta version of the code on June 18, 2004. The purpose of this release will be to get other developers using the code and reporting any problems they find. The date for the final (post-beta) release will depend on the beta feedback/issues.... read more

The Menu Control has hit it's alpha release milestone. It is functionally complete but a few minor bugs remain.
