Hi list,
This is by far the best quality OpenType font for devanagari known till 
now. Built by Ulrich Steihl.
For a screen shot and download link please see http://devanaagarii.net 
(refresh).
Perhaps it would also be freely distributable and can therefore be 
included in linux distros. One has to check with Herr Steihl about this.
