[Indic-computing-users] UTF8 for Hindi Text

Dear All,

The following query is made by Laurie Gerber on Thursday, November 21, 
2002. 

"I am working with a company that needs to work with Hindi text. 
Specifically, we need to be able to normalize the various encodings in 
which Hindi text is found online, into Unicode (UTF8). Are you aware of 
tools available in India for this task? We can license something if it is 
well engineered, I am not looking for freeware. Thanks very much". Laurie
