[Indic-computing-users] Instant Messengaing in indian languages

Hi,
I was trying out the latest gaim, and it was quite interesting

but, the input pane still shows garbage when you input in indic language
:(
can anybody suggest any possible suggestions ??
also, for indic-language mailing, i tried out balsa, but was not able to
compile it :(
