This question appears to be a FAQ and so 
I have added it the Indic Computing FAQ, along with 
the one answer that I could find, namely Yograj 
Verma's estimate (of Rs 65,260 crores) published 
in the June 24th issue of Dataquest India.

If you folks know of any other, public, surveys 
listing the size of the indian market, could you 
please send me email with a reference?
