[Indic-computing-standards] Hindi-Unicode characters

Hi,
  Is there any tool available which will give me the unicode representation of what I have typed in Hindi.
  I have been given the task of translating about 50 English sentences into Hindi, and then giving it to a programmer in Unicode format to put in the database.
  What would be the easiest way to accomplish this rather than going through the Unicode map manually and findin the corresponding number?
