   Fonttools ( fonttools.sourceforge.net ), converts TTF/OTF fonts to
native to xml format & vice versa.
   You can add OTF tables, in assembly way be editing the xml and trying
to generate TTF/OTF till you dont get any errors.
   I have been toying with it to use it to make a opentype editing tool
(on lines of volt, or better).  Though Pfaedit is maturing, but I would
still do it to satisfy my 'itch' :)

Initially our work at hbcse, and also by Arun at Trivandrum are based
on TTX.  It works!  Arun, I hope, can do a workshop on TTX in
Bangalore during the event.  Even Karunakar worked on this, he has
more ambitious plans.  He could say this better.
