In fact, Prof. Krishnan is writing a monograph to document
the problems of Unicode vis a vis Indian languages. His
focus will be on the limitations of Microsoft's
Unicode-based approach to Indic language issues. If anyone
on this list has specific ideas about what else he should
tackle in this monograph, please write to him at

From my own association with him for the last several
months, I know that he certainly does not reject Unicode
wholesale. However, he is keen that the Indic developer
community become aware of, and address the problem areas. I
am sure his monograph will throw more light on the subject.
