INDI Library v0.5 is not fully compatible with INDI Protocol v1.6. A new maintenance release (v0.5.1) is in the works to address compatibility issues. We expect to release the new version within 6 weeks of this announcement.

The Instrument-Neutral-Distributed-Interface control protocol (INDI) introduces a common standard for developing robust and scalable hardware drivers under several platforms.

The INDI project aims to create a solid driver support for a wide range of instruments used both in amateur and professional astronomy.

The current INDI repository contains support for several popular telescopes (LX200, LX200 Autostar, LX200 GPS, CelestronGPS..etc) and few electronic focusers (JMI MotoFocus and more).... read more
