I collected the information you need..

v4l2-ctl --device=2 --list-formats-ext
ioctl: VIDIOC_ENUM_FMT
        Index       : 0
        Type        : Video Capture
        Pixel Format: 'UYVY'
        Name        : 16 bpp YUY2, 4:2:2, packed


INDI comes from "ppa.launchpad.net/mutlaqja/ppa/ubuntu/ precise/" so its always up to date.

kstars -v
Qt: 4.8.1
KDE Development Platform: 4.8.5 (4.8.5)
KStars: 2.0.0


Is there anything else you need ?

Can you let us the pixel format used by this camera driver? Also, are you using the latest (SVN) libindi and KStars from GIT or the one supplied by 12.04?
