you understood me correctly. I tried the following with the drivers Rain 
and Dome:

localhost: ./indiserver ./examples/tutorial_rain 
Do...@po...:7624

portux920t.obsvermes.loc:./indiserver ./examples/tutorial_dome

Then I started Kstars  and connected to the indiserver on localhost.
But the Dome driver did not close the dome when I let the rain
fall.


A small bug report:
I mistyped the name of the host (bla) and the indiserver said:

./indiserver ./examples/tutorial_rain Do...@bl...:7624
gethostbyname(bla.obsvermes.loc): Success
tutorial_rain: EOF

I think this Success is wrong.

Well, in your example, the SSD 650 is running on a
different machine and thus a different instance of
INDI server there, what you did is to chain the two
drivers.

indiserver localdriver remotedriver1@remotehost1
remotedriver2@remotehost2 ..etc

So unless you use this method then no, there is no way
to propagate the observers.
