You want to do this when you wrote a program and want a web page that shows it running.
If you have issues, suggestions or solutions to discuss about publishing, do not hesitate to comment on this page!
If you have a sourceforge account, create a project where you can track versions of your code, document, handle tickets etc. if you want. Publishing is also easy:
See also https://sourceforge.net/p/forge/documentation/Project%20Web%20Services/ for updates on this info.
You can publish your game on Newgrounds easily if you too have a reg there.
They stopped hosting.
Github also has a free hosting option. Download Publishables, unzip im8runner.zip, add index.html, and follow the steps of creating a Git repository and then a web site out of it on https://pages.github.com/
If you have a webhosting service, you can publish your game on your site pretty similar ways. You do Download Publishables, unzip im8runner.zip, upload all files from it together with index.html. It does not need any database or php, the content is a static web page. Otherwise follow instructions of your hosting service.
