I am trying to use this to migrate email accounts. Is there a way within IMAP to copy a message from one open account (connection) to another? Or do I have to use SMTP?

Actually you can migrate email using imap in this fasion unfortunatily this particular library does not yet implement the APPEND command you need to do this.

You'll need to use SMTP.
IMAP will give you access to the existing emails but it won't allow you to upload them to a different server.
