Receiving mail from such an domain is easier -- even if the mail client doesn't know how to convert the receeived address into <post@æøå.no> it will be able to receive and reply to the maili -- but it will *look* ugly in Ilohamail. So the support is mostly needed when one writes such addresses. That is my understanding.
