sMArTH is a SVG and ECMAScript-powered equation editor for MathML and LaTeX
Latex Equation Compiler
The LaTeX Equation Compiler is a preprocessor for LaTeX files that enables numeric and symbolic calculations. It reads equations specified by special keywords in the LaTeX file, manipulates them and calculates numeric values of variables. If your OS can install .deb packages, have a look at my PPA http://launchpad.net/~jrheinlaender/+archive/ppa
DragMath
DragMath is a drag and drop equation editor in the form of a Java applet. Once an expression is created the user can convert it into a variety of different linear syntax for mathematics, including MathML, LaTeX, Maple, Maxima or any user defined style. PLEASE NOTE: active code development has moved to GitHub. https://github.com/maths/dragmath
LaTeX Equation Editor for Windows
LaTeX Equation Editor provides an interactive editor for LaTeX equations. View the results of your edits live without having to recompile your entire thesis. Additionally, export them to image files for use in Word reports.
TexMaths
TexMaths is an addon designed to provide LaTeX support into LibreOffice. LaTeX equations can be inserted as images (SVG or PNG formats) and the LaTeX code is saved into the image attribute for further editing.
