You might try the greatly pruned IKVM + OpenJDK that I made for using Java
+ IKVM + MonoTouch to build iOS apps in Java. MonoTouch also provides a
substantially slimmer profile than the standard desktop profile on which
stock IKVM depends.

At some point I plan to see if I can make my hacked IKVM work for Windows
phone development, but I'm too busy shipping a game on iOS and Android
right now, so if you want to lead the charge, that would be great!
