Hi I'd like to set up a dev environment so that I can remove bits of IKVM.OpenJDK.ClassLibrary.dll. [1] & [2] I'd like advice pls on the easiest way to get an operational development environment (either on Linux, or Vista + Visual Studio 2008). I couldn't seem to find build instructions per se on either the website or in the sources. I started on Vista with VS9, downloaded IKVM from CVS, and then got the OpenJDK 7-b11. Then I guessed I would have had to make it using Cygwin ... then I found instructions at [2], but openjdk-b13 referenced there doesn't work with allsources from CVS. So are there classpath-xx-stripped.zip and openjdk-xxx-stripped.zip which can be downloaded from somewhere which work with current CVS head? If not, if I do make jdk6-b11 (not -b10, which is the one referenced in the .build file), under cygwin (or on Linux for that matter), is that likely to work with IKVM from CVS head? I guess worst case is to go back to ikvm-0.36.0.5.zip. Alternatively, are there current instructions handy for building starting with a binary or source install of Mono (on Linux preferably)? The instructions at [3], and the nuXleus VMware appliance both pre-date use of OpenJDK. thanks Jason [1] http://weblog.ikvm.net/CommentView.aspx?guid=57b1b4e1-778e-4487-89ce-34ab2b1a1de8 [2] http://www.nabble.com/how-to-override-classpath,-e.g.-endorsed-directory---re-compile-IKVM.OpenJDK.ClassLibrary.dll-td15621974.html [3] http://weblog.ikvm.net/CommentView.aspx?guid=d98e0bf8-b252-4c13-9e25-b72a55068fd2 [4] http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=466336 |
