Hi. .DEB file for Privoxy 3.0.34 (privoxy_3.0.34-1~pp+1_amd64.deb) fails to install on Debian 12. A cryptic error "Dependency Resolution Failed". Yet, it appears all 11 dependencies are installed. See attached. Thank you.

PS. I've always compiled my own installations on Slackware for years. Just testing out Debian. Not used to package managers -:)

The Debian package privoxy_3.0.34-1~pp+1_amd64.deb isn't intended for Debian bookworm (12) bu for Debian bullseye (11) as the containing foldername "3.0.34 (stable) bullseye" mentions.
On Debian bookworm you should just use privoxy 3.0.34-1 that's shipped with bookworm.

Your observed incompatibility is that 3.0.34-1~pp+1 is compiled for bullseye, which uses libmbedcrypto3, libmbedtls12, libmbedx509-0. No idea what your Screenshot_20230627_083751.png refers, but this it not what dpkg --info privoxy_3.0.34-1~pp+1_amd64.deb shows on my system.
In contrast to the above bookworm ships other mbedtls packages: libmbedcrypto7, libmbedtls14, libmbedx509-1 (as used in privoxy_3.0.34-1 in bookworm repository).

This was my bad. As I mentioned, I am unfamiliar with Debian, so took the latest install package available from privoxy downloads. When I use Software center, or even execute your dpkg command, Privoxy does not show anywhere. apt list does show it. Funny that since using *nix since 1992, this is my first foray into a more constricted "we will do everything for you" environment. Sorry for the braindead question! Much to learn...still! ;-)
