I have installed
dd-wrt.v24-30082_NEWD-2_K3.x-big-RT-N66U.trx

This is on a Asus RT-N66u router.

I have no problem adding and configuring various features but when logging back on to check the stats I encounted an error:

503 This is Privoxy 3.0.24 on Network (192.168.1.1), port 8118, enabled
Connect failed

Your request for http://192.168.1.1/ could not be fulfilled, because the connection to 192.168.1.1 (192.168.1.1) could not be established.

This is often a temporary failure, so you might just try again.

I'm afraid I am totally lost here and have no idea how to remove this, I tried looking throught the help guides but they just baffle me more and the toggle off feature (http://config.privoxy.org/toggle?set=disable) doesnt seem to work on router config.

Please help!

Note that Privoxy's web interface by default is available
    at http://config.privoxy.org/ and http://p.p/ only.

The error message you quote indicates that you tried to
access http://192.168.1.1/. Privoxy is not supposed to
answer such requests itself and apparently nothing else
    is listening there either.

Thank you for the fast response, it have also looked at http://config.privoxy.org/ while trying to troubleshoot and the response from that is 'Privoxy is not being used'.

I have tried going through the help guides but it just confuses me further.
Sadly there seems to be no advice on how to disable it via DD-WRT forums either, I have flashed the router again so I am lost!

Did you configure your browser to use Privoxy on the DD-WRT as proxy?

In your case Privoxy is probably listening at http://192.168.1.1:8118/.
