#7 ZIP'ing of the catalog file

We should probably make it possible to (as an option)
pack the catalog file.
Here we should try to figure if it's for simplicity best to
use just zip or something existing or if it would be better
to develop a custom zipping function since we need
speed and also we probably have LOTS of spaces in the
file...
