On the forum questions have already been asked about the possibilities to give shared nested families a relationship in IFC. For example IfcRelDecomposes.
I think that this is not possible with the current exporter.
But is this possible by adding extra parameters in de nested families or something like that?
Best regards,

We would really appreciate any feedback on this, since it is really important if we could preserve any relation between a host family and its nested/shared families when the Revit file is exported into IFC

Is there any news on this item. It seems to get more and more important (in the netherlands) to get this solved.
Same here,
looking for a solution to have the relation between a collection of shared nested families in a "parent" family.

I agree With Arjan....
It's been a while but this topic is still very important.
Is there any feedback on the progress?
No feedback yet?
It's a very old issue and I believe an important one.
