Recently Compuware sent a letter to all customers having SoftICE license and notified them SoftICE development has been discontinued:

"Compuware has decided to discontinue development and marketing of the DriverStudio, SoftICE DriverSuite, SoftICE and DevPartner64 product. The decision to retire these products has been made after careful consideration [blah-blah-blah]."

Considering this fact I decided to stop further IceExt development. Maybe several bugfixes will be released, but that's all.

Below is information about this patch:

Problems with hyperthreading should be fixed if you install 3.2.1 of Driver
Studio. Do both the host and target installs for a single processor setup
and remember to reboot after.

This patch provides several fixes for DriverStudio 3.2 which include item

IceExt source code is now managed by SVN (Subversion) version control system. As a bonus, IceExt source code is always accessible for viewing through the web browser at https://svn.sourceforge.net/iceext/. The /trunk directory contains latest development code, and /trunk/doc holds most recent IceExt documentation.

After a long period new improved IceExt 0.70 has been released. Now with ring-0 tracer and loader for the driver (IceExt doesn't need to be registered as service). Installation process is aslo simplicified. In fact, IceExt doesn't require installation at all.
