Dear Yong, I'd say in that case (75 ICs) it is going to be up to you to identify meaningful components / interpret them accordingly. The cerebellum is usually subdivided anatomically, that is into lobes (anterior, superior posterior, inferior posterior, flocculonodulus) or lobules. Concerning ICA, I'd suggest to look at Yeo et al. (2011, J Neurophysiol) and Dobromyslin et al. (2012, Neuroimage), they describe abeout 10 to 20 labels/components/regions. Yeo et al.'s cerebellar maps are derived from maximum functional correlation with cerebral components, whereas Dobromyslin et al. ran ICA on the cerebellum itself. The cerebellar maps in Yeo et al. are available within SUIT toolbox http://www.icn.ucl.ac.uk/motorcontrol/imaging/suit.htm , which also includes probabilistic (anatomical) labels for the cerebellum. Park et al. (2014, Neuroimage) might also be interesting, as they provide a new form of cerebellar segmentation and give a nice overview of previous studies in Tab.2. Note that ICA on the cerebellum might require specific preprocessing steps (e.g. masking of the cerebrum) to have your data in the same space with the templates/labels. Hope this helps a little, Helmut >>> Yong Li <yon...@gm...> 12.11.14 15.13 Uhr >>> Dear GIFT experts, I would like to explore changes of resting state connectivity in the cerebellar network(s) by applying a 75 components ICA analysis using GIFT. It would be great if anyone could provide compatible RSN templates of cerebellum. Thank you very much in advance.
