I did a database dump and compared it to the one in CVS, and it had a
null diff. However, I think that it is safe to say that I'm sufficiently
confused at this point that I'm not sure whether it is correct, because
I was working on the dev branch on my laptop.

I worked a while last night on trying to reconcile the database
differences, but I could not make the errors go away. Yet. This is
really truly frustrating, and after the frustrations of the rest of the
day, I gave up and went to bed. Maybe I'll have a chance to hack on it
some today.
