I expect it is > more general. that's exactly what i'm talking about. someone hasnt done a cvs update in a whlie :) in the scripts directory you will find B<streed>. the cvs version listens on port 11211 (real port to be determined later) and echos back whatever you say to it. pretty simple. why tcp sockets? because no matter what platform this is on, we can be guaranteed of a tcp socket, even if just on the loopback. we cant be guaranteed of having unix socket ability. m. |
