#104 Change to Existing Work as Selected Work when Existing Work is Entered
If you create an argument or stance, and in the field near the bottom you enter an "Existing" work for the linked Work, Hypernomicon should select the radio button to pick "Existing" rather than "New" (where "New" contains the argument stem work that is created by default). I might be wrong but I think this used to be Hypernomicon's behavior, but I think maybe it changed in the latest update? I can't remember. In any case, if I am entering an existing work as the linked work for an argument, obviously I want that work to be the one selected as the relevant work, rather than having a new argument stem created (which also discards the existing work I picked).
Oh, and even more important (and I think this too is also new behavior):
If I SELECT "Existing" and then type in the existing work, then I press "tab" to move to the Pages field, Hypernomicon UNSELECTS "Existing" and goes back to "New." That is very unexpected behavior probably rising to the level of bug rather than feature request. The behavior should be that my selected radio button stays selected.
This will be fixed in the next version. The bug (which causes the observations in both your posts) has actually existed since v1.30.1, released March 2025.
