Hi Carl, It looks like at some point you got an updated copy of "/js/ divlist.js" (v1.4) but not the corresponding XSL changes in "/screen/ modal-nav.xsl" (you have v1.3) - the two have some interdependencies, so you should be on the same version of each. You should grab the latest modal-nav.xsl (v1.4), that should fix things! I just checked in minor changes to two classes org.hypercontent.workflow.command.Zip org.hypercontent.workflow.SaxWorkflowHandler WIth this change you can specify an attribute "directory" on the zip workflow command that can point to a filesystem other than the main repository. You can use this, for example, to create a zip of the build filesystem. Here is the complete XML of a script you can install in a file under /config/workflow (e.g. email-build-zip.xml) in your project repository that will create a zip of the build filesystem and email a link to the specified user or group. Note that literal email addresses don't work here at the moment, that would be another small tweak, only group or user names are recognized, and are mapped to email addresses via the users' VCards. <workflow> <event name="email-zip" permissions="read"> <variable name="zipper" value="${actor}"/> <variable name="href" value="${abs-server-base}/screens/please- wait.html"/> <nq q="zipping"/> <nq who="${zipper}"/> <zip directory="/build/"/> </event> <event name="batch-complete"> <variable name="zip" value="${zip}"/> <variable name="href" value="${abs-server-base}${zip}? mode=download-link"/>

${zipper} generated a zip file that is available here

<dq/> <nq q="zipped"/> </event> <event name="discard" who="${zipper}"> <delete path="${zip}"/> <dq/> <dq who="${zipper}"/> </event> <event name="expire" when="in 1 week"> <delete path="${zip}"/> <dq/> <dq who="${zipper}"/> </event> </workflow> You could also set this up on a schedule by adding another event under the top level workflow tag e.g. 3 am every Monday <event when="@ 0 3 2"> <variable name="zipper" value="admin"/> <variable name="recipient" value="group:admin"/> <variable name="href" value="${abs-server-base}/screens/please- wait.html"/> <nq q="zipping"/> <nq who="${zipper}"/> <zip directory="/build/"/> </event> -Alex On Jul 5, 2007, at 11:00 AM, Alex Vigdor wrote: > Hi Vangel, > Tom Tom has it about right, you mostly just need to combine the > download-zip and email commands in a workflow script. Hi Carl, Thanks, the wedding and honeymoon were a lot of fun, and it's nice to be back home without so much planning to do! The maxmemory setting in build.xml only applies if you're using the startup target to run HyperContent via the embedded tomcat - if you've deployed it as a webapp in a separate instance of tomcat, you would need to configure the memory settings via the JAVA_OPTS environment variable (see catalina.sh). At Columbia HC runs with 3 GB of RAM in its own tomcat instance - it will happily use that much memory or more for caching, and the more sites and pages you have the more there is to cache. Make sure you're also running with the - server flag; aside from setting that and a reasonably high -Xmx (max memory) I normally advise using default memory settings, especially if you're running under JDK 1.5 where the defaults are pretty solid. If that doesn't help, give me a more detailed description of what types of activities are slow - often if render times are slow, optimizations can be done at the include & XSL level to speed things up significantly. I'd be happy to take a look at a slow project and see if I can identify any straightforward optimizations. Cheers, Alex On Jul 6, 2007, at 8:41 AM, Carl P Barrow wrote: > Hi Alex, > > Congratulation on your wedding and I hope you have a nice honeymoon :) > > I'm having some problems with HyperContent running a little slow on > some sites. Hi Vangel, Tom Tom has it about right, you mostly just need to combine the download-zip and email commands in a workflow script. The only catch is that the class org.hypercontent.workflow.command.Zip that sits behind the download-zip command is only able to zip source XML files coming out of the repository, not the transformed output in the publish filesystem, which I presume is what you'd be interested in zipping in this case. This should be a simple fix, I'll get a patch together along with a sample workflow script to demonstrate what you're talking about. I should have it ready by Monday. just loud thinking, Shouldnt this be a integration of download-zip event in zip.xml and <email content-type="xxx" .... .... ....
Explore more on sending a attachment and finding where the above zip got saved as part of download-zip event. Hello there I would greatly appreciate a small amount of your time to assist with my doctoral research at The University of Newcastle. The research concerns open source licensing and we're seeking developers working on Java projects. The research is supervised, ethics-approved, anonymous and results will be freely available. Participation will also provide a custom licensing report for your project. To learn more, please visit: http://licensing-research.newcastle.edu.au Thanks for reading this email, and I hope you'll consider participating. Best regards Ben Alex (My apologies for being off-topic; this list will not be emailed again) |

Hi Carl, It is possible that one user had a stale draft copy based on the = =20 older revision. If the first user begins editing but does not save or =20= discard their changes, after the lock times out (about 4 hours), =20 another user could edit and save a new revision of the file, and the =20 first user could come back and resume their changes without first =20 discarding their (now stale) changes. Does this sound plausible =20 given what you know about the situation? I have seen people =20 accidentally click "edit" on an old revision on the revisions screen =20 before as well. Those are the two scenarios that come to mind.
