For the ja-sig site I want to be able to manage and publish files with the following path /conferences/*/*.xml. However, during the development of a new conference I still want to use hypercontent to edit/manage the conferences related files (i.e. conferences/06summer/*.xml) but I don't want them published until they're ready. How can I do that. |

Thanks Alex, I've set that up with basic templates and it's working great here, Once I've added the Uni visuals to it should work well the the new Uni homepage. Hi Carl, I uploaded a zip of the JA-SIG home page to the HyperContent wiki space at https://clearinghouse.ja-sig.org/wiki/pages/viewpage.action?pageId=12492 It is for HC2, and I can't remember whether it has been affected by any of the handful of bug fixes made sine RC1. It uses a new feature of HC2 where you can load one output into another; it loads the RSS that is generated from the News section into the home page where it renders the most recent RSS to HTML. The same logic is used to render the news archive RSS to HTML. I am going to try and cut the final release tomorrow, in time for the JA-SIG conference here. We've been running for a month with no crashes, about 5 restarts for bug fixes, and in that month 30 users have logged in 842 times, registered 156,000 unique page views and published 26,494 pages. We're about 1/3 migrated from v1.4 . . . I'll post the LDAP login module source up to the wiki as well, in case you need to tinker with it. Hi Alex Thats exactly what I want to do here. I'd like to take a look at how you set it up so the JA-SIG home page project would be great as a starting point. I take it this in HC 2? I actually need to move the JA-SIG -UK (http://www.ja-sig.org.uk/) site into Hypercontent over the next few weeks. On another note, the LDAP login module seems to plug in very easilly, I'm just having a few problems with some settings at this end. I'm waiting for someone to get back to me on that. I'll let you know how things go as soon as I have it running. Hi Carl, I actually just set up an RSS feed for the JA-SIG home page, which is being moved to HyperContent (it's not live yet). I set it up to use a navigation template to build a list of the 5 most recent news stories <nav-template sortchildren="by-date" childsortorder="descending" maxchildren="5" > <nav-template pattern="/news/*.xml" /> </nav-template> The XSL to produce the RSS is pretty simple, and I'm happy to share that if you'd like, although it's a little unique in this case because a news item on the JA-SIG site may actually point off-site, so the XML source is probably different than what you're working with. I just used the metadata title, description and date fields to populate each item, and use the title and description of the navigation file for the channel itself. Let me know if you want to see more, I could zip up the JA-SIG home page project so you can have a look at how its set up. Hi Alex I am going to use HyperContent for our University News which is held in the campus portal. Initially, what I though was to have an index page which would generate links to each of the news stories and then use a uportal channel to scrape that content in. But now I'm thinking that perhaps an RSS channel is probably better. Whilst I have set up the ability to create an rss file in hypercontent, the user actually has to do it. Have you produced anything there at Columbia that would produce that RSS file automatically from the site structure in the same way that navigation is created? Thanks Carl -- ************************************ Carl Barrow Systems Integrator e-Services The University of Hull Cottingham Road Hull HU6 7RX Ext. 6838 ************************************ |

The easiest way to reset your workflow data is to stop the server and manually delete the folder "/workflow-data/" in the repository for any project you want to reset (including the bootstrap if you want). When you restart the server it will automatically re-create the necessary files under "/worfklow-data/" from scratch. This will not have any effect on any of your data or configuration files, but will wipe out the complete workflow history for that project, including any approvals, zip files, etc. Alex |

Hello! Can I clean project's workflow-data, or bootstrap's worklow-data? I wa= nt to get it like no projects were installed. Sometimes I catch errors in workflow-data (build wasn't completed successfully, or filesystem error, = or ..) and I can't fix them - workflow doesn=92t work. Only moving the proje= ct to the different directory and registering it as new works sometimes. Thank you! |

Thanks Alex, We have got that in and working now, the images are fine and don't disappear in my installation. We'll need to have a look at file browsing for images and links at some point but it already does more than before. Just got to get LDAP authentication working now (which I understand might not be easy) Cheers :) Carl Alex Vigdor wrote: > Carl, > Well, here's a stab at it using the built-in callbacks in > TinyMCE. Hi, The pattern "../*" is valid for one level up; for the current=20 directory simply use "*". HyperContent 2.0 supports an additional=20 relative construction "/!/*", which indicates every page that shares=20 the same root directory as the current page (or /!/!/* for every page=20 in the second level directory of this page, etc). You can also use **=20= patterns to indicate recursion in HC2, e.g. "**/*" indicates every file=20= at or below the current directory. Carl, Well, here's a stab at it using the built-in callbacks in TinyMCE. Seems to work OK, except when you click an image in the WYSIWYG it disappears. The advantage of this approach is it requires no changes to the core TinyMCE code, which is nice. You can read more about TinyMCE configuration and callbacks at http://tinymce.moxiecode.com/tinymce/docs/reference_configuration.html <script language="javascript" type="text/javascript" src="{$rel-server-base}/js/tiny_mce/tiny_mce.js"></script> <script language="javascript" type="text/javascript"> base_url = '<xsl:value-of select="$abs-project-base"/>'; function HCconvertURL(url, node, on_save) { var index = url.indexOf(base_url); if(on_save && index==0){ url = url.substring(base_url.length); } else if(!on_save && index!=0 && url.indexOf("/")==0){ url = base_url+url; } return url; } function HCCleanup(type, value) { switch (type) { case "get_from_editor": break; case "insert_to_editor": break; case "get_from_editor_dom": var nl = value.getElementsByTagName('img'); for(var i=0;i < nl.length;i++){ nl.item(i).setAttribute('src',HCconvertURL(nl.item(i).getAttribute('src' ),null, true)); } nl = value.getElementsByTagName('a'); for(var i=0;i < nl.length;i++){ nl.item(i).setAttribute('href',HCconvertURL(nl.item(i).getAttribute('hre f'),null, true)); } break; case "insert_to_editor_dom": var nl = value.getElementsByTagName('img'); for(var i=0;i < nl.length;i++){ nl.item(i).setAttribute('src',HCconvertURL(nl.item(i).getAttribute('src' ),null, false)); } nl = value.getElementsByTagName('a'); for(var i=0;i < nl.length;i++){ nl.item(i).setAttribute('href',HCconvertURL(nl.item(i).getAttribute('hre f'),null, false)); } break; } return value; } tinyMCE.init({ mode : "textareas", verify_html : false, urlconverter_callback : "HCconvertURL", cleanup_callback : "HCCleanup" }); </script> On Nov 21, 2005, at 11:58 AM, Carl Barrow wrote: > Thanks very much Alex, > Thats working great. Hi Carl, An upgrade to the XML/WYSIWYG editor is definitely on our radar at this point, with the 2.0 development cycle coming to its end. We're looking probably at a rewrite of the whole thing, not just swapping in a new WYSIWYG, so it may take a couple months. You can actually swap in TinyMCE very easily - in "/screens/modal-xml.xsl" there's an xsl:if block at lines 69-123. You can replace the contents of that if block with <script language="javascript" type="text/javascript" src="{$rel-server-base}/js/tiny_mce/tiny_mce.js"></script> <script language="javascript" type="text/javascript"> tinyMCE.init({ mode : "textareas", cleanup : false, verify_html : false }); </script> And that's all it takes to get it to come up. The only problem is that it will need some tweaking inside the TinyMCE code to maintain links and images the way HC likes them, as the project paths rather than full URLs.
