Yes.

I have a remote install at 192.168.104.11 that's connected via OpenVPN, 
on that HylaFAX+ setup, I have an entry in it's hosts.hfaxd file:

^uucp@192.168.*.

$CALLID4 = The Destination phone number
$FULLPATH = The PDF that needs to be faxed
-f = Email address to notify of fax status

/usr/local/bin/sendfax -n -h 192.168.104.11 -D -fd...@fa... 
-d 91$CALLID4 $FULLPATH
