My present system is: Scientific Linux 5.11 64 bit (RHEL), Hylafax+ 5.5.8, Avantfax 3.3.5.
I find that on this setup, only Hylafax administrators (with defined admin password) can read received faxes. Normal users can only send, but cannot read received faxes. Is it the default behaviour of Hylafax+ 5.5.8? How do I let an ordinary user to also read received faxes?
A few years ago, I also had a successful installation of Hylafax v4 (or v6; I've forgot) and Avantfax v3.3.3 on scientific Linux 5.8 64 bit (RHEL). At that time, ordinary users can also read received faxes.
Hope to hear your opinions. Thanks in advance.

maybe setting different permissions on received file would help.
Try setting "RecvFileMode:" value
in etc/config.<modem>
file.
By default i guess there is something like "0600"
Try using "0644", to grant read access for group and others
Hope this will do.

Yes, it works correctly! You are always very helpful! My Windows Hylapex ordinary user client can read received fax now. I think we should set the "RecvFileMode:" to 0644 during installation.
On the contrary, Avantfax users still can't read received files. I think it still has bugs.
