Hi Leandro, welcome to this mailing list! I would say that the overall setup should not be a problem for hydrogen. In my experience a USB soundcard with a midi input is far superior to those usb-midi cables, but this is (as always) a question of your budget. I can imagine that you could get better answers regarding the perfomance-tuning of your systems either on the Linux audio users mailing list (https://lists.linuxaudio.org/listinfo/linux-audio-user) or on the linuxmusicians forum (https://linuxmusicians.com). Hope that helps, Sebastian Am 14.06.2017 17:07, schrieb Leandro: > Hi guys , I recetly founded this amazing hydrogen software. > Some weeks ago a received this hobby drum set: > http://www.spikenzielabs.com/Catalog/index.php?main_page=product_info&products_id=1024 > I finished assembly it and it is working now. > So far I tested this using ableton and it is working good but it still > have a little latency while playing. > Since im linux fan I preffer to make it work with hydrogen. > > Here some of my questions. > > Is it possible to make it work using my laptop sound card (alsa > driver) and usb-midi cable ?
