Hi, just a few remarks:
1) Compiling 'hwgrun.prg'...
hwgrun.prg(89) Warning W0003 Variable 'CHWGUI_DIR' declared but not
used in function 'READINI(73)'
2) Documentation files synhronized with actual state.
Are-you talking about embedded doc ?
HwGUI reference manual
Alexander S.Kresin, September 2006
3) In What's new I read:
[+] HBitmap():AddStandard( cId ) method added for GTK version. Now it is
possible to use
stock icons in GTK version as predefined bitmaps in WinAPI.
I don't really understand what you said.
Is-it about rc files or something else?
I dream about a way to embed icons and images in executable, to avoid to
have to define the image folder, and to be movable elsewhere.
Now in gtk version, but for Linux too ?
Linux debs in line now
Thanks

Hello, new version, HwGUI 2.20 build 3 has been released. There was a serious bug fixed in HBrowse - it was introduced recently and prevents :bEnter to execute. And an important update in this release is actualized documentation files. Regards, Alexander. ________________________________________________ |

HwGUI documentation (commands) web page http://www.kresin.ru/en/hwgdoc_commands.html has been updated. The commands list and all clauses are actual now. I'll add more text descriptions later. The russian language documentation page has been updated, too. The main page http://www.kresin.ru/hwgdoc.html is substantially reworked and contains now some things, which never was documented. Classes digest www.kresin.ru/hwgdoc_classes.html has been actualized, too. Regards, Alexander. |

Hi Alexander > Hello All, > > I've cleaned a Windows version of HBrowse a bit Thank you, that's a big task. There are some variable names and constants in there that I have never understood even after many tries. I have an old error where the browse gets out of sync with the underlying database, particularly when using a mouse wheel. So the line that is shown as the current line on the browse is not the same as the current line in the file. If you notice anything that might cause that I would be very grateful to hear about it. The bug is still in my application but without the mouse wheel users seldom stumble into the problem (in fact they rarely use the browse as file maintenance is mainly done elsewhere). -- Regards Alex |

Hello, just want to inform that I begin to update the HwGUI documentation. At first, I'll write a Russian version, which is absent at all for now. The first part, regularly updated, is on my site: http://www.kresin.ru/hwgdoc.html Regards, Alexander. |

Hello All, I've cleaned a Windows version of HBrowse a bit: deleted from there all code, related to filtering and moved this code to a new class HBrwFlt, which inherits from HBrowse. I believe that it is a correct way to add such specific features as filtering. An appropriate command has been added: @ ... BROWSE ... FILTER ..., so, if you use that feature, you need to change a command in your program. Regards, Alexander. |

Maybe, because firefox isn't a console application.

I have tried, and the command is correctly launched, but it crashes just
after (Erreur de segmentation) without log.
curl="http://www.kresin.ru/en/hwgdoc.html"
if cBrowser == ""
// hwg_ShellExecute(curl)
hwg_RunConsoleApp('firefox "'+curl+'"', cStdOut )
else
run(cBrowser+' "'+curl+'" > /dev/null 2>&1 &')
endif
So, for the moment, I will use this trick:
have a param which is the browser:
if empty
use hwg_ShellExecute()
else
use run() with redirections
endif
Thanks
