It did help, the test environment was ok, and the problem was the
nekohtml.jar

I thought I removed it before but I didn't.
Anyway the problem is solved now.

I notice that the package is not the original com.meterware.httpunit.
Did you try running the original without modification?   If you are
using ant, go to the original httpunit distribution and type 'ant test'
and see if everything works.  At this point, it looks as though this
might be an environment problem. Make sure you can run with the
distributed environment and then see what you have changed.
