I had the same problems as others when I first launched Mail 2.0. After removing the Panther bundle from the Mail Library folder, it seems to launch/exit okay. Now when I launch Mail 2.0 all of my offline folders appear and are populated and my Sent, Inbox, and Trash folders are empty. I'm now ready to install the httpmail v. 1.44 plugin. When I run the installer, will all the emails I had in Sent/Inbox/Trash when using Panther reappear? I wanted to make sure before I do it and it erases my copy of the old Panther bundle that I moved to another location on my hard drive.

Well I installed the v1.44 plugin last night. It downloaded my mail from the Hotmail server successfully but my Inbox/Sent Items/Drafts/Trash emails that I had while under Panther are still not there. Any ideas on what to do or how/where to import them from? (I saved a backup of  my Library/Mail folder before upgrading to Panther.) Wishing I'd moved all those files offline or sync'd w/ the server before the upgrade :-( ...Thanks for any help!

If you have backup copies of your .mbox files then you can use the "Import Mailboxes" item on the File menu.  This should allow you to get your old messages back.
