The current version of HttpMail Plugin is incompatible with the Developer Release of Panther.

After launching Mail running in Panther an error message appears stating:

    "Bundle Compatibility Warning

Mail has disabled the following installed bundles:

        httpmail

Please contact the makers of these bundles for a version compatible with Mac OS X 10.3 Mail before reinstalling them."

Apple probably changed the way bundles work in Panther, so you might need to check and see what is broken.

I know.  I am working on it, but of course can't say any more because of NDA and so on

So its been almost two months since your last post on this. Panther has been announced. Any news on the progress??

I know this is a freeware but its so kick-ass that its the only thing keeping me from upgrading.

I do have a version of the plugin that "works", however there are a number of very serious bugs that are stopping me from making a general release.  If you are interrested I can send you a copy of the build I am using

What kind of bugs? Are they show-stoppers?  Anything that we can help out with as testers?

Wow, I didn't realize how important this app is for me until it stopped working.  Please try to get us a working version as soon as possible.

If you put up a PayPal link I would be more then willing to pay for this software.

Having installed the v1.3 bundle as per the readme's instructions, I now have two problems in Mail (v10.3 running on Panther):

      1. I cannot create a new httpmail account (the option is not available).

      2. The only options for types of new accounts I can create are .Mac, POP, and IMAP. I've now lost the ability to create an Exchange account!

i have had mixed results too... i managed to do it once... i click on new account and there was httpmail.

i have not been able to reproduce this, though i keep trying...

what i think i may do is try an older version so mail makes my bundles folder and then see if i can get it...

        keep trying it does work...

it seems that mail decides to turn off bundle loading when it finds a bundle it doesn't like, so you have to run the defaults command again

i was just going to say that... i too have found that the defaults command needs to be run more then once sometimes....
