    OK, I feel like a real idiot being the first to post a problem, but:

    when I copy & paste the command line (to enable bundles) from the ReadMe statement, Terminal gives me this:

    defaults: Command not found.

    So now what?

      this means that you need to install the BSD subsystem of MacOS X.

      Have a look on your MacOS X 10.2 install CD in the Optional Installs folder for the BSD Subsystem and install that.  This should fix the problem.
