MacOS X HTTP Mail Plugin / Discussion / Help: 1.47a, 10.4.4 and Mail 2.0.6 doesn't work?

I have an iMac Core Duo with fresh 10.4.4 and Mail 2.0.6. I've installed 1.47a and I get no "httpmail" option under Add Account -- I only get .Mac, POP, IMAP or Exchange. I installed twice per the directions (quit Mail, etc.) and even tried manually entering the defaults commands, still nada.

Anyone have this config working, or have a suggestion?

  From my experience you have to run Mail in Rosetta until the plugin is made Universal. To run in Rosetta, you just find Mail in you applications folder, CTRL-click it, chose Show Info (or get info, I don't remember which) and then put a check in the Rosetta box.

  Excellent suggestion, but there is no Rosetta on the new iMac Core Duos...
  
  I do suspect it's related to the Intel switch. I'm hoping a new version will be out soon, although I've only seen two other reports of people having this issue on the net.

    I have posted a screen shot of my iMac 20" Duo Core. You will have to forgive that some of the info is in Spanish, but you will get the drift of it anyways. I hope this helps.

    Yes, I agree. It was so slow for me that I decided to just not use httpmail for now and go through the hotmail.com website.
