#70 1.44 - Tiger - Sync state preference doesn't stick

Every time I open the preferences panel and select the advanced tab
for my hotmail account, the option indicating what should be done
with messages on the server is set to "Don't change anything on the
server." For example, If I change the option to "Synchronize with
the server" the next time I open the preferences page it will be back
to "Don't change anything on the server."

I had the same problem, however I found a tricky solution.

When you change any setting about syncronize prefs it doesn't ask to
"save the changes". It asks, however, if you change something else in
another tab such as "Mailbox Behavior".

Do this:
a) Change something (whatever) in the Mailbox Behavior tab.
b) click on another pane, such as "General". You will be asked to save
the changes. Save them.
c) Go back to "Accounts" pane and go to the "Advanced" tab. Select
the sync option that you want.
d) Go to the "Mailbox Behavior" tab and change back the setting that
you first changed (in step a)).
e) Close the window. Again, you will be asked if you want to save the
changes. Select "Save".

That's it.
